Nice for a weekend getaway

Equipped with Everything

Great Stay
We had a great stay at Jim and Kathi’s lakeside cottage! The place is in an amazing location, right on Lake Elmore, with a view of the lake and the mountain right off of the deck. The cabin was private and remote enough to give you a sense of being away from it all, but still plenty close enough to go to nearby attractions in Stowe and Montpelier (~30 min). While a bit rustic, but cabin is really very nice and has everything you would need. We would definitely stay here again!

Everything was amazing
Book your stay right away! This AirBnb was probably one of our absolute favorites. To start the hosts were super flexible with check in. They allowed us to check in early and greeted us in person. While Lisa, the cleaning lady, was finishing cleaning the space they took us on a tour and explained everything. They even took us out on the pontoon boat. We really loved meeting with Jim and Kathi and getting their personal recommendations. The lake was pretty quiet since it was after Labor Day when we visited but we had great weather so we were able to kayak and swim. We spent most of our time on the deck enjoying the view. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. We walked the lake down to the Elmore Store which had beer, wine, snacks and even full meals. We got the pizza and sat on their deck to enjoy the sunset. Everything about this stay was amazing and we will hopefully be back again!

Best Experience
Jim’s lake house was truly one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had. It is absolutely beautiful and all you could want from a lake destination stay. I came here with my family and throughout the entire experience Jim & his wife were so communicative, helpful & welcoming. I couldn’t recommend this place more & I hope to return again!

Very Wonderful Time
Jim is a great host, very responsive and made sure we were doing well. The instructions for the cottage were clear and complete. The check in was very simple and straightforward. The cottage is in a great location, clean, cozy, inviting, has magnificent views, and has everything we need during our short stay. The lake is very clean. The weather was perfect so we were able to use the kayaks. The water shoes and vests are also conveniently stored at the property. It is close to groceries and some restaurants to get dinner. We enjoyed the puzzles and board games. On our drive back South, we stopped by the North Branch Cascades trail. It is a very nice place with many lookouts and trails to go down the river and falls and a few swim holes. Overall, we had a very wonderful time at Camp Elmore being surrounded by nature far away from big cities.

Delightful Little Place
Jim’s cottage on Lake Elmore is a delightful little place on the lake. We stayed during leef peeping season so we didn’t utilize the amenities designed for the lake as it was quite cool out, but the lake was beautiful nonetheless. Jim had great communication and we had a lovely stay at his place.

Amazing and serene
The cottage was amazing and serene. Unreal location, and Jim was a great host. Despite being in France, he went out of his way to check in with me and make sure everything was copacetic. Cottage was decorated nicely and kitchen is well equipped. Highly recommend!

Great for our small family
Jim and Kathi’s camp was great for our small family getaway. We appreciated the myriad watercraft, and the house was well-equipped, especially for the size. The area has lots of fun activities (biking, hiking, etc.) that everyone in our family enjoyed. Jim and Kathi were very responsive and friendly, answering any questions we had.

A Beautiful Spot

Great Cottage
Great cottage with a beautiful view and plenty of lake “toys” to play with between the kayaks, paddle board, and the row boat. It is a very quiet area as described in the listing.

Lovely Camp
A lovely camp with a beautiful view. Jim and Kathi were there upon my arrival to show me around and Jim was very sweet to send a quick message to make sure I was doing ok! The weather/wind did no cooperate to kayak, but it was nice knowing that the option was there. A close and easy drive to Morrisville to have a bite to eat and hit the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. All around it was a nice place to spend a few days.

Great Weekend
